Super User iceintheveins Posted March 27, 2010 Super User Posted March 27, 2010 Oh wow I like the looks of that one. Quote
florida strain Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 reminds me of a reverse t- rig i do with some flippin baits.. it looks good ,and it should catch nice fish Quote
Super User Catt Posted March 27, 2010 Super User Posted March 27, 2010 Been around since the early 70's Quote
NJAngler609 Posted March 28, 2010 Author Posted March 28, 2010 Been around since the early 70's are you referring to the skirted bullet weight that goes on creature baits? if so thats not what this is...this bait is a one piece skirted creature bait that you texas rig...can fish it weightless or with a bullet weight Quote
EdKras Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 I had been flipping hula grubs for the jig look. That definitely has more of a jig profile. Bait monkey can't sleep now. Quote

NewAngler Posted March 29, 2010 Posted March 29, 2010 Looks to me like a skirted craw type bait. Adding the weight is what makes it a t-rig, right? Quote
Pez Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 I've saw that floating around on some posts on bassnj.com forum. Quote
Super User fishfordollars Posted March 30, 2010 Super User Posted March 30, 2010 Not a jig, but it definately catches fish. Sorta like the old hula grub set up that has the skirt forward. Been around a long time. Last time I saw it was last spring when Catt and I were fishing Toledo Bend. He had one tied on.. Quote
Big Bass Chaser Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 I have these in Green Pumpkin with black flake from Yamamoto? Quote

Super User Catt Posted March 30, 2010 Super User Posted March 30, 2010 I don't see how it could trade mark the name "Texas Rig Jig" when that same name is used by Barlow's Tackle Express in Richardson, TX Quote

River Rat316 Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Its a craw bait with a ika type skirt on it, that has thicker longer flat strands, there are many that have already made such a bait, just not with that skirt on it.Not saying its not a good looking bait, but it has been done before in that style.
