After trying Duckett micro magic for the first time last year I am making a switch for fish them exclusively. I know I want a 7' MH for my Texas rig worms, but my question is will that rod also work for my jig fishing. I don't know if I should move up to a heavy action? The one thing I did notice last year is that the rods seem a little light on the tip and I want to make sure I get a good hook set when I'm pitching a jig in moderate cover. Need advice!

1/4oz to 1/2 oz MH. 1/2oz to 2oz get the heavy. Or get both so you can cover all jig weights.

Thanks. I think I will go with the MH and if I find its not enough, I can always use it for something else. Can never have too many rods as long as I can afford to eat. Sometimes lol

I have 2 7ft MH...I bought them for texas rigs and jigs but after losing too many bass I only use them for cranks and traps. The parabolic bend goes halfway down the rod shaft...get the Heavy for jigs and T-rigs.
