Super User Sam Posted February 2, 2013 Super User Posted February 2, 2013 Bummer. My thoughts and prayers are with him for a speedy recovery. We all will get prostrate cancer if we live long enough. Good friend had it bad a few years ago and he is totally clear today and doing great. I hate when this happens and hope he has a successful recovery. Quote
quanjig Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Thoughts and prayers to you and your father. My dad went thru this about a year ago, caught very early, treated at the cancer center in Jacksonville Fla. University of Florida and is cancer free today! He was very upbeat and did his research and knew exactly how he wanted his treatment and the best place to have it!! Quote

gripnrip Posted February 6, 2013 Posted February 6, 2013 Been thinking about you too man. My pops had it about 5 years ago. They caught it early as well. He had to go to 40 straight days of radiation. Monday through Friday. All it did to him was make him real tired. He's been cancer free since then. Since then they have came out with radiation treatments in as little as 5 appointments. May the good Lord bless you and your family! Quote
Super User Teal Posted February 6, 2013 Author Super User Posted February 6, 2013 Grip, i know what you mean. My boss found out he had it back last spring. He also had about 6 straight weeks of radiation. The treatmeants didnt take long at all either, myboss had radiation scheduled on his lunch hour. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers. Quote
