With warning points, less is probably better.  Or you could try and rack up as many as you can without getting banned.  Seriously though, what is the magic number?  Not that Im looking to get any points....just curious.

Thanx Glenn. Tried FAQ, nothing came up for me. Understand I have 0, just never noticed it being there before.

You don't need any to get banned, if you were to be a butt head and do something really stupid you could find yourself in deep trouble without warning points.

However the Mods here are pretty good about things and if you stay within the rules set up by the site, there would be no need to worry,  they take things under consideration, I have never had any and don't plan on having any, I never did see how many would actually get you a trip out of here though, that is to say there is no specific number,  I think that is up to them as to the severity of the situation.

5 is the number, but sometimes that will just result in suspension for some time.

The points are used as a warning for members and an alert for the Moderators.

People get banned immediately for spamming. Otherwise it's always case by case.

We want everyone to just have fun and be pleasant, it's pretty simple really.

Gotcha.  Everyone seems like they're really good about following the rules and all.  This forum has a real sense of community about it.  I can't imagine you guys have too much of a problem with having to ban people that often.

Thanks for clearing that up RW, I did not see that number in the rules and regs.

They just edit and delete posts to make it seem that way.

Okay, that's pretty good... :punch-2:

We don't actually edit or delete very much and when we do is usually spam or something

inappropriate. Heated arguments and the such are usually just closed so members can

still read them and (hopefully) see why they were closed.

Funny how misconceptions are presented as "fact".

Reality is - we rarely edit threads. The exceptions are noted by RW above.  Aside from spam, the downright disgusting, insulting, and rude remarks during a heated exchange are subject to removal.  Besides obvious reasons, this also protects the offenders from getting "bad" reputations.  So, Stasher1, if you have a beef about a post of yours being edited or removed, then that is why it happened, and now you've let the world know about it.

As for banning folks, I think ya'll would be surprised we usually ban a few people every week.  99.9% of them are blatant spammers.  But you guys don't see it.  So don't assume this site is spam free all by itself.  The mods are hard at work keeping spammers out on a daily basis.

I honestly don't have an exact count of the total number of my posts that have been edited in the past ~5 yrs, but it's definitely way more than one. This is no misconception, and to state otherwise is either ignorance on your part of what your mods are doing, or a blatant falsehood.

Huh?  Really?  Nothing could be further from the truth.  I have nothing to hide, and have been nothing but honest. Your accusations are baseless.

But thanks for trying.

Like I said, you're either lying or ignorant. I think we all know which one you are now.

And now we know why your posts were deleted, and why you now have 3 warning points.  Disrespectful and rude posts are indeed removed, per our rules, as I've previously stated.  But I'm leaving your last one up so everyone can see exactly what I'm talking about.

Thank you.  You just confirmed everything I've been saying all along.  :)
