It always amazes me to see cold fronts roll in. I've been out on the water and watched as the leading edge goes by and the temps drop. It's a really cool sight (no pun intended lol). This a.m was no different I just watched part of the leading edge roll in. Trees started blowing, clouds rolled in and now its nice and cool out! I feel bad for the people fishing round 1 of the southern opens on Toho. I bet it's windy and cold out there.I'm sure it changed the bit compared to earlier in the week to.

I'm sitting on my couch instead of pre fishing. Cold, rainy, windy.

Maybe later today if it clears up.

Oh thank God for some cold weather! I've moved down here 6 years ago and the summers have been killing me! But yea, fishing definitely sucks right now...

I watched it happen this morning as well.  I didn't expect it until this afternoon so i decided to hit some favorite spots this morning.  I was at the first spot maybe 20 minutes and a couple 2lbers into it, then the wind shifted from slighty south to what felt like tropical storm force northwestern in about 15 seconds.  Temperature dropped about 10-15 degrees in the same time.  I then decided to call it an early day, lol.  fish will probably be lockjawed for a day or so.  cooler weather is nice just as long as it doesnt drop to much further, haha.  i'm a born and raised south floridian so any temperature less than 55 degrees and i just shut down. lol

I think we need a good stiff cold front or two to get a change in the water temperature. Then, when it goes back  up again, it might jumpstart the spawn up at the Lake. Things have been too stable too long.

Im glad I had my rig in the car with me. Left work about 1500 and headed to the water. Nailed 10 nice bass in about an hour. They were all about 15", but really fat. They were munching on small brim fry the whole time I was walking the bank of this lake. I always have a good bite when the fronts first pass over.

Getting ready to hit the inlet and catch the last of the outgoing tide for snook (season opens today), tide change about 6:30 and start throwing tubes for cuda.  It's not ideal out there now but a dry lure never catches fish.
