Siebert Outdoors Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I'm proud to announce two new products. The Bed Bug! This is a bulky little jig that works great as shallow water fishing or deep. This is an excellant jig for fishing shallow and use a bright color silicone for an accent to see the jig while sight fishing. The Bed Bug is a mix of heavy rubber and silicone cut short for a more compact jig. The hook is an Owner XXX strong hook with a heavy weedgaurd. http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/index.php/bed-bug The Big O Arky head. This is an updated version of the older arky I had. Biggest features are the barb for plastics and now come in wieghts of 1/4,3/8,1/2,3/4,1 oz! http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/index.php/big-o-jigheads 2 Quote
Rangerphil Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 The bed bug is nice! Looks like a killer little jig for smallmouth! 1 Quote

Super User roadwarrior Posted January 30, 2013 Super User Posted January 30, 2013 Well... Is this so much different than the other 200 Seibert Outdoors jigs I own? What makes this so compelling? I already have some "Most Beautiful In The World" and yet this Bed Bug seems so surreal. So what do you suggest, all 3/8 or do a NEED other sizes? Quote

Super User J Francho Posted January 31, 2013 Super User Posted January 31, 2013 Kent, bust out your flipping stick, and get the 3/4 oz. in brush or arkie. Get it with a bubble gum or chartreuse silicone for sight fishing, when the big girls are on beds. No trailer necessary. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted January 31, 2013 Super User Posted January 31, 2013 No trailer necessary? Really? I guess I can see it working, and I'm sure it does, but I just never throw a jig without a trailer, so this is foreign to me. I mean, you don't have to get all Lobster or Space Monkey, but not even Menace or Baby Craw? It's like peanut butter and jelly on a jig like that. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 31, 2013 Super User Posted January 31, 2013 When you put a trailer on it, a bedding bess will pick it up by the tip of the trailer, and deposit outside the nest. You set, you whiiff. With a compact living rubber puffball skirt, and the silicone accents, the fish will bite, and have no choice but to slurp the whole thing in, hook and all. It works. I've been using other "finesse" type jigs like this (Skinny Bear, Kietech, Bitsy Bugs, Stanleys) for a few yeas now, but this jig has a REAL HOOK in it. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 31, 2013 Super User Posted January 31, 2013 Which jig head is featured in the finished jig you have pictured? Quote
Hanover_Yakker Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Just placed my order - can't wait!!! I will be locked and loaded for this year for jigs between the NS Flip & Swims and the SO Classic Brush Jigs and now the Bed Bugs I'm set!! 2 Quote

Blue Streak Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 I bought some Siebert jigs a few years ago and they are without a doubt the most well made jig I have ever used. And they catch bass. Any you buy form him will meet that same standard I highly recommend them. Quote
