hello i hope this is th erigh tspot for this question. i have about $41 in ebay bucks getting ready to expire on 2-2 , and i remember soem one was tellign me because i was having such a hard tiem getting some hooks out of fish even with the barbs off. mainly they were swallowing my hooks especially senkos and i would have a hard time getting them out. so i was told since i just got back into bass fishing again they have new technology out. apperently there is a de hooker or hook remover that de hooks the fish automatically but is quit expensive. he said you hook the hook  on the hook and there is a pull handle and when you pull up it pulls up and rotates the hook out at same time. i recently at the end of the season back in august well end for me anyway. got what looked like what he was describing and it did not rotate on its own and was even harder then old fashioned pliers.

if there really something out there this easy? i seen cabelas avertise something called a de hooker adn it was close to $60-$70 some weres around there. since i have nothing else to buy that i really need im going to wait until spring comes around to see if any new reels/rods come out i figured wth let me see if i can get this hook remover to save soem problems and frustrations. would appreciate it if you could tell me the name model etc of what the right one im looking to buy is dont want to buy the wrong one again.

ClackerBuzz- I use that technique whenever a fish swallows the hook & I can't count how many fish/hooks I've saved. It takes a little practice but it works everytime!

An old teacher of mine keeps telling me about the "pencil bobber trick" but he never showed me how to do it.

I've always relied on pliers, or the old long shank hook removers. Did buy a pencil type version from BPS, but haven't had to use it much.

Pliers have worked just fine for me.
