jbone177 Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Ive noticed mine restocking the shelves lately. One thing that kills me with the local DSG is they only seem to carry Zoom soft plastics with salt. No unsalted Zooms . Quote

I'm sure they'd be more than willing to do it. Quote
thehooligan Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 I went today and they had clearance bins, got power pro for $10, shadraps for $4, they had some good deals... Quote
tylerwyp Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 Wish I had the same luck as you guys with DSG. I guess I have Obama to thank for fishing not being ethical or politically correct anymore. They just put in a new DSG by me and they don't even have a fishing section. The other one by me has about 2 aisles SMH. I took about a 45 min drive to the DSG with the biggest fishing section around me and was disappointed they had everything I wanted except none in the right color 1 Quote

Indiana Bass1 Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 My DSG told me they cant order anything special, everything they get in is ordered by some guy sitting in an ivory tower. Dude probably has never held a rod in his hand. Sad sad sad. Heck, when I got my st croix's, the morning I went in there they didnt even know they were on sale. I asked the manager if they were on sale for 39 bucks because they were on the east coast. He about laughed his ass off,so I ask him to scan one....presto 39 bucks. He about fell down. LOL Quote
upnorthbassin Posted February 1, 2013 Posted February 1, 2013 I bet they'll be out of business in the next 10 years anyways. Maybe sooner. Quote
Super User MarkH024 Posted February 1, 2013 Super User Posted February 1, 2013 All these Croix deals are making me quite envious. Ill have to stop by mine more often i guess. Quote

One thing that kills me with the local DSG is they only seem to carry Zoom soft plastics with salt. No unsalted Zooms . I didn't think other people noticed that either. the ratio of salted to unsalted zoom products is like 9:1 and we have about 3/4 of an aisle dedicated to zoom.. Quote
Indiana Bass1 Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 The Croix deal was last year about this time. Quote

Exactly! I love that they carry Zoom, and otherwise it seems like they have a good variety. Quote
bassboy107 Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 The Dicks Spoting Goods around me changed the sale idea. They sent a flyer with a coupon that said take an extra 50% off storewide clearance ending in .93 and .97, but on back said shimano, St. Croix, G. Loomis and some other brands excluded. Quote
Super User MarkH024 Posted February 2, 2013 Super User Posted February 2, 2013 I went to my DSG. Man have they reduced their selection. Didnt find any good rod deals. Ended up using a gift card for some Rage Tail and Missle baits for super cheap. Quote
kadas Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 I bet they'll be out of business in the next 10 years anyways. Maybe sooner. JMO-i doubt that they will be out of business but they will not be selling fishing and hunting equipment--my store is heading there real fast--smaller and smaller hunting and fishing sections--bigger golf and clothing sections--JMO Quote
