*** just stocked these things.  They look pretty sweet.  Anybody have bad experiences with Kistler, or has anybody actually got to feel this rod?  I'm thinking about getting the 7' Medium composite for medium diving crankbaits.  I heard their customer service is really good..

I have a magnesium and its great. Seems like recently there is a love/hate relationship with them. Most of it seems undeserving IMO and does not reflect on the quality of the rods they build. Look around on their website and there is an article by Troy kistler that explains his whole business endeavor and why a bunch of people seem to rag on them. Again great rod and wouldn't hesitate t buy another.

Well, if it's just another rod to add to your collection, go for it!

However, if it is "important" or a "one and only" I think you are

better off with a brand that carries less baggage. Quality control

has always been an issue.

Yeah this would be my third rod, so I guess that I might as well take a chance and get it. It is either between this and a Powell diesel but I'm leaning towards the kistler because of the weight and guides. Thanks for your help guys
