Flippin & Pitchin Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I'll be fishing Falcon for the first February 17-22. What type of lures or tactics should I prepare for? We have a guide hired that Tuesday to try to enhance our odds. From what I've read and seen, to catch the big ones you need to be cranking and bouncing a jig out a little deeper when you find some large boulders. Anyone have luck flipping the stumps shallow? Anything certain I should prepare for? Quote
BassCats Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Fishing Jigs and rage tail in 20-30ft of water will help you get the pigs you are looking for. That is what Big O and Terry Oldham use. Quote

bassbill Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 heavy rod, heavy braid, magnum flukes c-rigged or on one oz. jig heads, one oz spinnerbaits in chartruece with gold colorado,dd crank's and a plug knocker ! hard not to get hung up fishing Falcon. Quote
Basseditor Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 My biggest on Falcon came on 6XD bouncing off a ledge (hard to find the good ledges). Used 20# flouro. Next biggest 10" power worms, 25#flouro. Again look for rocks and brush. Then magnum flukes. Use all the above before leaving an area. Quote
