No, I have not tried it but have heard good things about the line.

I tried some in 50lb test & it seems pretty smooth. No problems but not necessarily better than suffix 832.

I've been in love with it from the start. It has great feel, and finish, and very very good abrasion resistance for braid.

I know others have had less than stellar results with it. Would I prefer it over 832, yes. Here's the caveat, though, Bass Pros new XPS 8 is as good, or better, than both the lines I mentioned for a little less money. It's built for them by Normark, IE: Suffix and has all the same quality of their lines with better abrasion resistance and slight edge on diameter. It's definitely worth a look for the cost.

I checked TW and the reviews wern't very good. The majority of replies were awfuly critical. Maybe I'll just stick with 832.

I have heard good comments but haven't tried it. Always used 832.

Not a bad braid, but i'll still take 832 over Kanzen. Kanzen is thin and strong, but a bit more rough than 832 IMO. I will say it SLICES through vegitation though. I wouldn't hesitate to use it in some of the nastiest cover. But for anything where I dont need that, I prefer the smoothness and feel of 832.

Im also very excited to try out BPS new 8 strand braid.

I have been using the Kanzen braid for a while now and love it. I feel it has the right blend of smoothness and flexibility. The strength to diameter ratio is as good as any braid on the market and it is extremely sensitive. I also use the smaller sizes on topwater and spinning rod applications. so far it has proven to be a quality product. hope this helps.

in the beefier stuff, i suggest bumping up sizes from what you're used to...so if you flip with 40#, bump up to 50#. the lighter stuff has good castibility because of its smaller diameter. i haven't had any issues with it, just prefer to bump up in size from what i use in other braids when flipping or punching.

I use it exclusively now. When punching mats it has a unique feature... It's nearly as quiet as mono or flouro when going through. Ever hear that "whooshing" sound other braids make when going through a mat? Kazen doesn't make any noise. It whispers through and gets more reaction strikes imo. Knot strength is really good but just like with any braid an extra loop or drop of glue never hurts. Another thing I've noticed is that wind knots from, especially on spinning reels, are highly reduced using this stuff in the smaller diameter lines 20# etc. The last thing I'll say is that the quality control at Seaguar is second to none. I haven't had a single bad spool of braid, mono or flouro EVER!!!! And I go through a TON of line!! Try some, you'll never go back!

I seriously think some of those bad reviews come from the same person.  It all sounds like internet hyperbole to me, anyway.  I'll be finding out for myself shortly.

I have been using Kanzen since it came out and have had no issues with it at all. Like others mentioned, 832 is pretty good too, but I still prefer Kazen.  It's smooth and casts very good.  I just started using the 15lb on my spinning gear and love it for drop-shot.

I have used Kanzen Braid for some time now. I have put it through the test! Drop shotting with light braid at Toledo Bend, Swim Jig at the Mississippi in La Crosse (50lb), and a Sexy Dawg topwater at Onieda (30lb) is my full angling experience with Kanzen during the Elites. I have not lost any fish to breakage or over use with this braid! The lack of stretch, sensitivity, and abrassion resistance covers my needs from top to bottom. The way the line is spooled on the Kanzen spool helps with twist and wind knots! I have 100% confiedence with Kanzen.

Tried the Kanzen 20# on baitcaster, the line was too thin it was thinner than most braid.  It seems to have a 2# mono diameter for a 20# rating.   It snaps too easily.  Tried in on spinning and works fine.

I have been using Seaguar line religiously for the past 3 or 4 years.  The Kanzen Braid is the best braid in the industry.  For the experienced  and the begging anglers Kanzen is the best choice because of it's softness and great castibility.  This line was designed without a coating; therefore, the line will last longer, act more supple and remain extremely abrasion resistant all at the same time!

Maybe Mark or Carson can comment on the line diameter thing.  Normally, I'd go with a 50# braid to get somewhere close to a 12# mono of the same diameter.  Kanzen specs are smaller, by quite a bit.  Would you guys recommend bumping up to 60# Kanzen, say if we're used to the diameter of 50# Sufix or Power Pro?

I fish the BASS Elite series and have the option of using ANY Line/Braid on the market. I make my living fishing so you can be sure I will test EVERY line out there. Your connection to the fish has very little to do with the rod and reel and everything to do with the line. I like several braids on the market but my choice is the Seaguar braid. This braid will let me outcast the other brands. I'm not saying outcast by 50 feet but I can get another 15-20 for sure. There is no knot slip and I can use the line over and over without changing it out. Like Mark M said you can use it from drop shot to froggin from 10lb to 50lb it all works without a hitch. We all know when braid cuts back on itself on the reel and fouls up it's a real pain in the butt. With Seaguar that is reduced to almost never. Don't take some other guys word for it, my dad can't tie a knot for beans and for this reason ALL lines stink to him. This could be the guy giving you your information. Go get yourself a spool and see for yourself and I bet you'll love it like I do. Thanks all....

No disrespect but I checked and at least one is sponsored by Seaguar so have to take it as pimp of the product to some degree.

It would be nice if a person connected with a product would acknowledge the fact in their post.

No disrespect,  but is it not reasonable to believe to some degree,  that these anglers actually like and prefer this product ?

Perhaps this is why they chose to be associated with the company.
