Indiana Bass1 Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 I am looking to buy some jigs soon. Have any of you used the brush jig? And if you have what are some of its strong points? I fish a lot of docks, laydowns and rip rap. Would this be the jig I am looking for?I currently fish the bitsy bugs and bitsy flips. I was just wanting something with a better hook. I have about 40lbs of jigs in the plano box......but you all know how this goes. Thanks, Rick Quote
1234567 Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Thos seiberts look awesome for sure. Great hook! Take a look at the gary klein heavy cover jig. Those are nasty! Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted January 26, 2013 Super User Posted January 26, 2013 Brush jig is my GO TO jig unless we are talking rocks. Then it is the football. I fish almost exclusively Siebert Outdoors heads! Jeff 1 Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted January 27, 2013 Super User Posted January 27, 2013 I started using the Brush jig long before Siebert Outdoors was an advertiser on here. It is a great head. It's my flipping and pitching jig. It's good for around docks but I prefer an Arkie head for skipping docks and a football head for rocks. Mike really puts some effort into producing a great product. His jigs are worth more than he charges for them. 2 Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 27, 2013 Super User Posted January 27, 2013 You will enjoy just looking around Mike's site. If for some reason you don't find EXACTLY what you are looking for, Siebert Outdoors will work with you to create your dream jig. While you are there be sure to check out the Storm Series Jigs. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted January 27, 2013 Super User Posted January 27, 2013 The Big O Brush Jigs are fantastic! I actually prefer them in bigger rocks than a football jig. Hooks are great, and skirts are spot on! Quote
bassh8er Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Copper head with a Halloween skirt is my favorite combo and killer when you add a Yum Crawbug in the crawdad color; it's not even fair. Quote
Indiana Bass1 Posted January 28, 2013 Author Posted January 28, 2013 Thanks for your input guys. RW yeah I have been looking at his site for 3 days now. Man I think I could drop about 300 bucks if I was to get some of every color I like. I agree his prices are very fair. Quote

The quality is way above the Strike King Bitsy jigs IMHO. The paint on Siebert's jigs last forever and the color selections are great. He has various jig heads to choose from. Definitely use the football heads if you are going to be fishing rocks. I like how the brush heads stand up, they are very similar to NSCB's alien heads. I agree that if you want to skip docks the arkie heads are the way to go. The flat surface makes them great for skipping. The brush heads are good for fishing wood and keeps the knot protected well. I own more brusheads than any other style head from Siebert Outdoors FWIW. Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted January 28, 2013 Super User Posted January 28, 2013 He has some great looking jigs. I will be placing an order soon. I only wish Owner would put out a cross line tie cutting point hook. Quote

I only wish Owner would put out a cross line tie cutting point hook. X2, I restocked on hooks, line, and tungsten but not jigs. Im not hurting for jigs but alot of my go to jigs are really banged up. So, im going to order from SO and maybe try a some new color combos and stock up. After i make an order, im probably gonna do what AJAY and Deaknh did and give alot of old ones to someone on here that may want them. Quote
Super User whitwolf Posted January 28, 2013 Super User Posted January 28, 2013 Siebert Outdoor jigs are simply the best. The price alone Is worth it but in addition they catch fish and Mike Is great to work with! Edit: If you're looking for a great shakeyhead look at the Zenith on his page. It's unreal how nice that shakeyhead Is and the price Is hard to beat. Quote

Siebert Outdoors Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Thank you all for the great words!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Brush head is my best selling jig head and my personal favorite. I fish it almost exclusively now in all situations. Thank you all! Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted January 31, 2013 Super User Posted January 31, 2013 Before Mke became a sponser here, he gave me a few Lead Free Brush jigs in anticipation for MA's lead ban, I think it was back in 2011 and I still fish them. IMHO, these jigs are as close to an all purpose jig as you can get. Like 00 Mod points out, if your in a rock situation then a football jig is probably a better choice, but Mike's Brush Jig doesn't do to bad in rocks or any other structure/cover situation if you're in a pinch or don't want to tie on another jig.
