I searched the FLW website and was thinking of fishing a few FLW opens. Can someone clarify for me, do you need to own a Ranger boat to be able to win a Ranger boat? Sorry if this question was asked.

No but heres the real kicker. Lets say you come in as a boater.... you win... if youre fishing out of a ranger youre likely looking at about an extra $50,000 in money if the boat is new enough.

Your best best would be to sign up for the Everstart Series, because there are no opens this year for FLW!  I am planning on fishing a couple of the Bassmaster Opens and shoot for that Nitro, though it is a long shot!

No opens doesnt mean much, it simply means you must become a member of FLW. I think the initial cost even gives you entry into an event.

Most boat companies have incentive programs. If you fish out of a 2012 triton and win I am pretty sure you get some cash. Check each website they will provide the exact information.

Also check your motor manufacturer. They also payout. Found out when I did a photo shoot for some FLW Pros. I asked them why everyone had the same boats and motors. :) I wished I was into bass fishing back then. Those boats are fast.
