Super User Darren. Posted January 26, 2013 Super User Posted January 26, 2013 I've been a life long Bills fan... 4 Super Bowl losses worst 4 years of my life. Pretty optimistic for 2013 with Marrone and his staff. Really looked Chan as a person, genuinely nice guy, but dang... Anyone else think we'll have a better-than-.500 2013? At least we know Spiller will get more time to shine. Like where the team is headed under new coaching staff? Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted January 26, 2013 Super User Posted January 26, 2013 I don't think any one other then you will admit to being a bills fan lol. That's worse then me being a redskins fan lol but thanks to RG3 I can say that now. I'm from Buffalo also well close enough anyways. 1 Quote
Super User tomustang Posted January 26, 2013 Super User Posted January 26, 2013 I'd feel sorry for you being a bills fan but it was your choice, same way it was my choice to be a eagles fan Quote
Super User Darren. Posted January 26, 2013 Author Super User Posted January 26, 2013 Maybe we should re-start this as a commiseration thread, LOL. 1 Quote

You have a real winning QB there if he can stay healthy. Buffalo has had the worst management, passing on so many great draft picks. But hey, one day the law of averages has to fall our way, right? Well, I suppose it did for four years, if it wasn't for The Cigarette Smoking man ensuring the Bills would NEVER win a Super Bowl (X-Files fans know what I'm talking about here).... Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted January 26, 2013 Super User Posted January 26, 2013 Even if buffalo had gotten RG3 I'd still be a skins fan I have been all my life. I hope the kid can stay healthy though I have a feeling he's not gonna be around long or good at least I think he's gonna get taken out early in his career because of his knee. Quote

Unless he comes back as fast and determined as Adrian Peterson, but even then, he'll may never be the same. Wish the kid luck. We enjoy watching him on Sundays. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted January 26, 2013 Super User Posted January 26, 2013 Life long Bills fan. My family had season tickets from 1979 (when I was 4) till 2005. I went to every home game from 1987 till 1996, plus I travled to Cleveland for the 1989 divisional playoff game, and the 1990 regular season game, went to the road game in Tampa in 1991, the Pittsburgh playoff game in 95. My first game was the home opener in 1982 against the Cheifs. I have not been to a game since the monday nighter against Cleveland in 2008. I have had it with them. Still a fan, but after 13 years of this crap, I am on a "show me" basis before they get anymore of my money. We have been sold a lot of "we will get it right this time" lately............we'll see. 1 Quote
shootermcbob Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 No, Sorry. I am a Cowboys fan...I get to watch Jerry Jones screw everything up and then talk about how talented his "super-bowl contending" team is...uh, yeah, right? So, I can feel your pain I do think the teams in Buffalo don't get nearly the RESPECT they deserve for going to 4 straight superbowls. That in and of itself is Quite an achievement. Quote
Super User Chris at Tech Posted January 26, 2013 Super User Posted January 26, 2013 As a Georgia Tech alumnus and season ticket holder, I experienced the "Chan Gailey Effect" first hand 1 Quote

Yeah I agree I can go with another crappy season to give him time to be healthy and then bring us back. Quote

I was in the stadium with you on a few of those games during the 4 SB era. Some seriously good times, though the end results were always painful. If only Scott "SCUD" Norwood curved it to the left... I remember listening to Frank Reich leading the greatest NFL comeback ever on the radio. Nearly exploded my brain that day. How I long to see greatness again at The Ralph. I'm optimistic, but after so many years of disappointment, until there are more W's than L's, I'll watch n wait. Quote

Super User Marty Posted January 27, 2013 Super User Posted January 27, 2013 Pretty optimistic for 2013 with Marrone and his staff. I've learned not to be optimistic, especially after this past season when loads of "experts" had them in the playoffs. I'm not from Missouri, but "Show me!!" I'll believe it when I see it. But I'm not negative about the Marrone hire, but I'm not optimistic either, as stated earlier. I remember listening to Frank Reich leading the greatest NFL comeback ever on the radio Of all games, that one was blacked out within the 75-mile radius. Quote
Super User Darren. Posted January 27, 2013 Author Super User Posted January 27, 2013 It seems since the Music City "Miracle" we've had so little to get excited about. And when we do, our hopes are dashed year after year. I'm holding out hope one more time... Quote
Super User Sam Posted January 27, 2013 Super User Posted January 27, 2013 Nope. Don't follow the Bills. Have no idea who is on their team or who is their head coach. I do think they need to change their name to the Buffalo Snowmen. Quote

Get 3 feet over night then next day 40mph winds blows it all away followed by a unseasonal warm up hitting 70 in mid January followed by a week of single digit temps and repeat. Quote

Indeed! Perhaps both of our teams' fortunes will turn for the better this year. Actually... at least you guys have made the playoffs 2 years running! Quote

Ya know iv thought of it especially lately contemplating going active duty if I could pick to be stationed at Drum. We got snow here I live 45 minutes east of buffalo but I was in buffalo yesterday and they don't even have a flake on the ground they didn't Wednesday either when I was up there returning my rental. But we got tons of it here Quote
