jchez444 Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 just seeing if anyone has used there shaky heads along with there football n wacky jighead. also does the shakyhead sport a lightwire hook or is it beefy Quote
Snakehead Whisperer Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 As far as I know, all of their shakeyheads use a 4/O Mustad Ultrapoint hook... which is pretty middle of the road IMHO. Quote
SDoolittle Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 I bought a bunch of them a year or two ago when Northstar was having a sale. They're good shakey heads, but there's nothing really special about them. Their spinnerbaits are awesome! Quote
River Rat316 Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Yep, 4/0 Mustad ultra point hook, listed as a regular wire, its basically the same flateye hook in most shakey heads, finesse style jigs and lighter Arky and Football jigs that everyone makes. The one difference with my shakey heads is the hitch hiker, they are stainless and smaller than what most manufacturers use, making it easier to screw small baits on. The paint is also tougher than most others. The wacky heads use a light wire 30 dgree hook and a light weedguard, if you are planning on pitching these into heavy cover I wouldn't use them, if you are using them like a normal wacky head they do really good with great hook up ratios while staying fairly weedless They are also fairly priced. 2 Quote
