Super User Jigfishn10 Posted January 31, 2013 Super User Posted January 31, 2013 What lure(s) have you bought over the winter time that you're most excited to throw once your area thaws out? For me it's the following: - Megastrike Strike Back spinnerbait - Rage Toad - Dahlberg Diving Frog You're gonna love that! Quote

Super User lmbfisherman Posted February 14, 2013 Super User Posted February 14, 2013 Here's a list - All my bait casters - I cleaned/oiled them for the 1st time in my life and they feel so much better, I want to test them out! (Started bass fishing full time last season and learning baitcasters) BPS ProQ Tournament Rod - I bought this new combo in January it is 7' M/F for 80 bucks (ProQ Tourney Reel) - I was surprised how light this rod was when I picked it up and am anxious to try how good it is for such a low price. Of course they could be so cheap that they break easily lol. I mostly bought the combo for the reel, but the rod feels good in my hands. (PQ Tourney are hear are basically the same as the Regular PQ, but with different bearings?) Yo-Zuri Hybrid - Decided it is time to see how good this is over PLine - especially after reading all the reviews on various boards. Ribbit Frogs SK - 1.5s SK/KVD 5XD and 6XD Various Swim Jigs Various Soft Baits - (Specifically for Drop Shots) I'm looking to practice more this season (gaining confidence) on crankbaits and drop shotting. I only caught two small fish on a crankbait and one baby bass (literally the bait was 1/2 the size of the largie) on a drop shot. I started learning the technique end of last season. Quote

Super User Fishes in trees Posted March 5, 2013 Super User Posted March 5, 2013 This year, many factors, too numerous to mention, have limited my winter tackle buying. I haven't got anything new to speak of, other than a couple of reels I bought my self as a Christmas present to myself. There aren't any plans for anything major this spring. In the next few days, I am going to go to Walmart and pick up some close outs, mostly 17 & 20 lb mono for spinner baits & square bills. I look outside and see lots of snow. Even though it is starting to melt, I think that I'm still a few weeks away from first trip of the year. Quote
jhoffman Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 I couldnt even begin to tell you how much stuff I bought. Im most excited to throw my own jigs. I have a white bladed swim jig I tied up recently with a blue back that I am going to throw a skinny dipper in clear blue on. The damiki air craw looks great to me. I wanna try a cavitron with a rage frog on the back just for something absurd. Theres a custom crank I bought painted like a gill that looks real! Quote
papajoe222 Posted March 6, 2013 Posted March 6, 2013 Any one of the 3,000 or so that I currently have. I really don't care. There was a good sized puddle in the neighbors front yard last week and I was seriously considering working a jig and craw through the grass in it. Anyone have a crying towel? Quote
