Are there any must have colors for lures such as crankbaits, poppers, jerkbaits, etc.? Thanks y'all!

with those lures you are trying to imitate forage fish.  So i always have a shad color, perch/bluegill color, and a gold shiner color.  besides those I like black, chartruese, and white in different combinations.  Any crazy patterns or color combos in my opinion are not needed.  with a few different combinations of the colors I listed your good in 99% of situations.

I like to have some sort of crawfish pattern, a shad color, and a some sort of brighter color such as a chartreuse.

If I could only have one color the rest of my life it would be black.

I fish shad and it does well even in lakes and rivers without shad present. I like black back chartreuse. Perch color really has never been good to me in hard baits however if I can find one to match a black/white crappie its on. Reds in spring...

Black is the ticket though. If youre fishing a heavy pressured lake and you want to see a 20lb bag it might have to be at night. Perch isnt going to matter at night. Many guys approach night fishing thinking about topwater and miss the boat.

Color isn't real high on my priority list. Usually two is what I have, one bright, such as firetiger, and the other muted, such as shad or bluegill.

For cranks I like crawfish, firetiger, and shad.  For topwaters I like green or black.

If you are looking for soft plastic color got with like a watermelon red or any color with watermelon

I tend to only throw stuff that matches the forage. Though I occasionally have luck with the goofier colours I generally only catch garbage like rock bass on the more "vibrant" colours.

Hard baits: I only buy colors that are similar to the forage in the water in my area. Blue gill is the main bait fish in my area, so I stock up on blue gill colored baits. I do however use brighter colors such as chart/black back and an orange craw when I fish in dirty water.

Soft baits: When Im fishing soft plastics, I stick pretty much stick to watermelon and green pumpkin. Im pretty boring when it comes to my plastics.

Recently visited a fishing show and had a few pros giving seminars. One of them said he carries three basic colors. Some sort of shad color, some sort of bluegill color, and some sort of crawfish color. Those are the three main forage types for bass. He said all of his bluegill colored baits had chartreuse in some form in them and that was the color he caught 80% of his fish on.

Thats me too. I try to have a natural colour and a bright colour for each lure.

My color choices would echo the others mentioned here for the most part.  When I have decided to fish a square bill in water than is  a foot of visibility or less, Timber Tiger makes a color - chartreuse with a purple back that I've had quite a bit of success with in dingy/muddy water.

These are the three main patterns I use in squarebills and lipless cranks.  Spring time I will also have a natural american shad/silver black back. Rest of the year it's those three.

Jerkbaits are usually clown, deadly black, pro blue, bone and american shad.

poppers are firetiger, shad, black and sometimes gold/black
