james 14 Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 2000 Pro Craft 210 Super Pro 2005 200hp Optimax 71lb foot control TM - almost every boat I looked at had hand control TMs. Seems to work fine for now so I'll hold off on the 36v for the time being. 10" Bobs Hydraulic Jackplate Hot Foot and Hydraulic Steering $7500 (who says all those "good deals" on CL are scams?!) There are a few cosmetic issues that I'll be working on but the hull is wood free, the motor checked out great and this thing moves nicely across the water. Oh....and it's PAID FOR! I will certainly have some questions in the near future. Quote

Super User J Francho Posted January 24, 2013 Super User Posted January 24, 2013 How does it feel piloting from he middle of the boat? The console is on the starboard side like most other boats. James: Nice pick up, and congrats on NO BOAT PAYMENT!! Makes it easy to do little fixer upper projects when you don't have that monthly payment. Quote

Super User J Francho Posted January 24, 2013 Super User Posted January 24, 2013 No, port is the left side of the boat. 1 Quote
Super User Nitrofreak Posted January 25, 2013 Super User Posted January 25, 2013 No, port is the left side of the boat. Now that you mention it, I gotta wonder if the steering wheel is on the port side for boats in England !! BAAHAHA !!!! 2 Quote
Super User Nitrofreak Posted January 25, 2013 Super User Posted January 25, 2013 OOPS !! I forgot to post about the boat. Really nice boat man !!!! now lets go fishin !!! Quote
Super User slonezp Posted January 25, 2013 Super User Posted January 25, 2013 The angle of the picture makes it look like it has a center consol. Also you mean port. Here's how I was taught to remember it. The word starboard has more letters than port and the word right has more letters than left. Starboard/right and port/left Quote
topwaterrob Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Awesome, I have that same boat........ Quote
jhoffman Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Easiest way to remember port vs starboard... port has 4 letters, left has 4 letters Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 26, 2013 Super User Posted January 26, 2013 I've done so much night time navigation, it just comes naturally in my head. See a boat coming toward you, turn right, and show the other boat your red port side bow light, and he should do the same, to pass on each others' port side. See green, blow your horn. Quote
james 14 Posted January 28, 2013 Author Posted January 28, 2013 Awesome, I have that same boat........ Anything I should know? What motor do you have? Trolling motor? Quote
