shootermcbob Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Has anyone else seen this show??? I am just such a huge fan of his. Although we fans most likely will never "really" know our favorite pro anglers...I just get the feeling watching and listening to him that he is a really decent, righteous person who has class and dignity. I just read Brent Chapman's blog on the Bass Master website and he tells the tale of Horton stopping to help him at the tournament in Green Bay. I also really enjoy the fact that Horton treats the fish, the outdoors, and his opportunity with such respect. Finally, I appreciate his teaching style...friendly, informative, and lots of details to help all other fisherman. Quote
dave Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Years ago, he grew his hair long and donated it. Quote
shootermcbob Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 That's right. He donated his hair to "Locks of Love" , which helps kids who are having medical difficulties and don't have the means to have a wig or hairpiece made. Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted January 23, 2013 Super User Posted January 23, 2013 I hope Rick Clunn is growing his hair for the same reason. Quote
Super User Sam Posted January 27, 2013 Super User Posted January 27, 2013 Yep. Saw his show last night. He has always been a favorite of mine and I like the show as he teaches you in stead of just pulling the bass out of the water and hawking his products. The only problem I have with him is that he is an Awbunn fan. But that is sure better than being a Bamasux fan. And he fishes out of a Nitro like KVD! 1 Quote
gripnrip Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 I saw it last night as well. It seemed like a good show. I will be watching it in the future. 1 Quote
38 Super Fan Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 I like Horton a lot. Fishing shows have been overrun with loudmouths, and guys who try to be funny (very unsucessfully) all the time, we need more Horton types. Just a normal guy out there fishing, and a good teacher as well. Quote
