gripnrip Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 WOW! That's awesome. I was lucky enough to go to the BASS Nation banquet last month and they honored the OSU fishing team for their championship. 2 great and respectful young men. Very lucky future fisherman. Quote
tbone1993 Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Just nice to see his sponsors giving gear to the club. Sponsor discounts are nice but it really does lighten the load when you get free gear that you would have had to pay for. Quote
Quillback Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 So who supplies college teams with their boats? Quote
tbone1993 Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 So who supplies college teams with their boats? Parents of the kids or they buy their own boats if they have the money. Most big tournaments like college FLW have a certain number of boaters set aside for people without boats. Most of the big FLWs are on lakes like pickwick in which it will be tough to drive your boat all the way there if your from the midwest there are a limited number of these boaters though. You used to be able to win a boat for the national championship but I believe they stopped doing that. Besides that boats can come from donations, before you think about selling your old boat for a couple grand look into donating it to a team ( or even selling it for a decent price to a team). They can benefit from it a lot. Quote
