So some of you might remember I was having gallbladder issues the other week. Well last night I had another attack this one wasn't the normal discomfort loose a hour of sleep then fine. After 5 hours of puking and extreme pain I drove my self to the ER at 2am.

A cat scan and sonogram later I'm now admitted waiting for surgery in the am. It's full of stones really bad they said plus inflamed and infected and showing thickening of the walls. So now I wait for surgery in the morning.

Yea, hospitals are boring. I shouldn't tell you I went fishing this morning, had a couple wings and salad for lunch, relaxed in the pool with a couple girlfriends, and now getting ready to head out for steak dinner.

You should be up and at it again soon and feel 100% better, my wife had hers out just this past November, they had to cut her open the old fashion way, they couldn't suck it out the new fangled way because hers was too inflamed. She was in the hospital for 3 days after the surgery, and back to work in 10. Good luck man,

Yeah Its no biggie all the nurses love it that I'm so relaxed and easy going they were practicing sticking me earlier cuz the line they put in last night is in my elbow on the right and if I moved my arm the slightest bit it would pinch off flow. So they moved it to my left and tried my hand and wrist 7 times lol never flinched just sat there being a pin cushion. It helped to I had a cute nurse lol.

And keep rubbin in the food lol I'd kill for some wings or steak maybe after the surgery tomorrow I mean it's the all u can eat chicken wing buffet at Quaker steak and lube tomorrow.

Prayers sent your way!

I suggest you borrow a marker, and put a big "X" on your gallbladder with an arrow pointing to it.  Write "CUT HERE"

Good luck, and just make sure they don't cut off anything you'll need later by mistake.

If you liked the first meds, you're gonna love the one you get just before they wheel you to surgery.  You'll remember getting the shot, but not much after that.

The next thing you know is that you'll be waking up in the recovery room, and it will be over.

One thing.  Take the pain meds as the doctor recommends.  If he says take them every six hours for two or three days, do it.  Don't think that because you aren't feeling uncomfortable after six hours that you can hold off.  I've had a couple of friends who just plain don't like the idea of taking pain meds.  They figured they'd wait until they started to feel the pain, then take a pill.  Too late.  They ended up going to the ER to get an injection.

You want to maintain a level of meds in your system for pain control, and your doc knows best.  Do not be a hero.  You'll likely regret it.

Don't forget about the constipation that comes after the anesthesia wears off, lol. I either get a bad headache or constipation. I told the anastegiologist last time I went under and they gave me a different drug that worked pretty well.

You gotta paly it up with the cute nurse. Tell her you're alone in the world. Tell her it's just you and your little puppy, the one you JUST adopted.

Funny thing about meds.  They have different affects.  They can plug 'em up, or flush 'em out.

I'm pretty lucky in that regard, meds don't seem to bother my digestive system, except for the stuff they have you take prior to a colonoscopy.  Then, I have to make sure I'm no more than a few steps from the porcelain throne.

I hate pain meds.  They don't kill the pain, but you are so fd-up you just don't care if it hurts.  I get off of them as soon as I can and take Ibuprofen instead.

I'm anti doctors and anti medicine in general but what ever juice they shot me up with last night was great lol dilotta(sp)? Something like that. I'll probably just do as they say though they said get up and move around asap afterwards as long as I'm not woozy from the narcotics.

By about the time your out, we should have safe ice. Nothing like sitting in sub-freezing temps to shake you out of any painkiller induced haze. I'll drill the holes and hump the gear..........after all your recoving from surgery.
