Okay, so I feel like a complete idiot but I'm willing to take the embarrassment to make sure I put proper information out there and not give micro guide rods a bad name.

I recently started a post about micro guide rods and my findings. I reported that I was getting less casting distance with the micro guide rod no matter the line type or reel. Well for whatever reason I happened to think what my cent brake setting were and noticed that I had the spring loaded cent brakes engaged on the pq and the pitch ones on the revo s. The revo brakes were essentially engaged throughout the whole cast while the pq was not  :sign5:

I apologize for that.

So after I corrected that and made both reels the same, the casting distance was essentially the same, but very smooth from the micro guides. The good thing that came out of the original post was a nice discussion and a cool video post.

Sorry guys, *awaiting tomatoes*

This reminds me about a review of the new abu revo stx. The guy basically said the reel was junk and he could not cast it at all. He was going to send it back to abu to see what the problem was. When he went to take the reel off the rod he noticed that the line was not going through the worm guide on the STX.  I could only imagine how dumb he felt lol.

OH COME ON LAG!!!!  Just kidding....I really appreciate it when someone makes a mistake and admits it even though this wasn't a big deal. Thanks for giving us the real scoop. I have been looking to go with the micro guides on my pitching setups so I might still get them. Thanks and nothing wrong with making a mistake. Guess you are human.  :hangloose:
