nickw234 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I was just wondering If anyone has had good luck with smoke like colors for stained water? Thanks, Nick Quote
basspro215 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 yes i did, with the SK red eye shade but it looks more like root beer to me Quote
tbird Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I have had good luck in 2' visibility or more on smoke glitter ring worms & grubs..Any more stained than that and I would change colors T Quote
Super User Hooligan Posted March 24, 2010 Super User Posted March 24, 2010 We pitch smoke DT Hula grubs quite a bit. They're a standby. Quote
carrothead Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Caught my PB smallmouth in a murky river last year on a Smoke/Black Flake Storm Rattle Tube. Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted March 25, 2010 Super User Posted March 25, 2010 There is just something about a 3" smoke w/blk flake grub (the flat tailed grub, not the curly tailed variety), on a 1/8 jig head that just drives smallies nuts sometimes! Quote
florida strain Posted March 25, 2010 Posted March 25, 2010 Ive done well with the smoke color flukes made by zoom. Ive had the color painted on some cranks because i liked the results. But, it seems there is only certain times the bass get turned on to the color for me. Quote
Super User Bassin_Fin@tic Posted March 25, 2010 Super User Posted March 25, 2010 Smoke purple flake isn't too bad of a color for me, it's not too far off junebug. It is still translucent though and there are better choices for dirtier water. Quote
