This may seem like a dumb question.. I installed an old hunting computer game that was made in 2004 that runs on XP or earlier operation systems, is there a software somewhere on the web that I can get it to run on Window 7? I went to open the game and it will not run, then I had a brain fart that it could be the OS compatibility preventing it to run.

There is a difference between win 7 32 and 64 bit, bet you have 64 bit and that's why.  I have had identical issues.

X2

Windows 7 and 8 are junk for older programs, windows 8 especially, it's gonna take some time to get everything compatible, in the automotive industry we are having a terrible time with software, everything is moving forward and the software for older vehicles are giving us fits right now.

It's effecting everything from downloads to shipping, I think it may end up forcing everyone to update to newer equipment and software but at some point in time it has to be made adaptable to older software.

try right clicking on the program icon and selecting i believe its "Run as Administrator". sometimes that works with older software, sometimes it doesnt...
