I was at my local Krap Mart Saturday picking up some stuff and checked out their huge ::D fishing dept. I needed some hooks and they didn't have the size I wanted in Gamakatsu. They had Matzuo hooks so I grabbed a couple of packs of 4/0 ewg's @ $2.59 for a five pack.

My buddy and I went out Saturday night and we both rigged up 4" craw tubes. We proceeded to catch about 20 bass between us in a 3 hour period. These hooks performed way beyond my expectations. A flick of the wrist and they were stuck good. None of the fish were beasts, but I don't doubt they wouldn't have any trouble on a large fish. We both had the same hook on all night and they're still sharp.

I still like my Owners and Gammies, but I would definitely buy these again.

I don't like Matzuo lures, but their hooks are as good as Gamakatsus.

ive used them for a little while. if it wasnt for a couple bad hooks (never found a single bad hook in any packs of gammy's) i think i would buy them more often. but for the < $1.00 difference , ill go with gammy.

I had a huge problem snapping their hooks, granted this was several years ago but I won't go back.

There run of hooks was bad a couple years ago, they messed up the temper on them. They took care of that and they are honestly good hooks, I use them in a lot of lighter jig applications, for the price they can not be beat!

Hmm...I must have bought them when they were

having problems a couple of years ago. I don't

think I'll try them again.

I use their octopus hooks in #6, #8 and #10 for steelhead, salmon and browns.
