They are the same as the old Tierra rods with cosmetic changes. Very nice rods for the $.

I have a couple a of them. I dont use them much since i started buying powells. I like them alot. They are pretty sensitive for the money.

I agree on the Powell rods. I have a diesel and I'm impressed with it for the money. If I were just spending money I'd like to buy one or 2 more of those...but in this case I have a gift card to Cabelas to use up. The Daiwa is $75. For $25 more I could get a Veritas or a Mojo. For $25 less I could get a Sellus. I'm wondering how they all stack up. I have a vendetta that is pretty close to the same specs as the Daiwa I was looking at too. I don't use the Vendetta much so this might just take up more space if it's not any better.

This will be a second worm/jig bc rod....a MH/H F/XF rod mainly for jigs (w/ trailers total weight up to around 1oz give or take a little depending on the jig). I'd like a split grip w/ eva grips. I'll probably put the pinnacle optimus xlt on it that I got recently. The selection on Cabelas.com isn't bad but it's lacking all of my top choices in that price range.

If you like the powells, save your money and buy the endurances (max is pretty good too) you wont regret it. Use the gift card to buy a reel for it. Just my two cents.

Yeah, I'm going to save a few bucks for one of their TW exclusive rods (probably the squarebill rod) either way. Gift cards burn a hole in my pocket though....epsecially if it's for a place that doesn't have the exact item I want to buy next....and right now I have more gift cards to places than I do cash. I have some to Walmart too but they don't have too many rods I want....although I wouldn't mind a Veritas I guess.

I bought a Tierra 6'6 6/14 spinning on closeout for my grandson a few years ago.  Never really cared for it until this past week or 2, been using nearly daily and catching some very nice bass on it, I like it now.  The backbone has impressed me, actually when I first bought it I took it snook fishing a few times.

I bought 6'6" M bait caster last summer and I really like it. I like how the Fuji grip feel on my hand. I have Citica on it (at the moment). Feel light fishing with it. All though it is M, I feel it is close to Shimano's M/H. I might feel that way, because of shorter lengths that other rods I have?  Or maybe Shimano's ratings are on lighter side? I don't know. Anyhow, I just picked up a second one, spinning 6'6" M 2pc to go with recently bought Sahara on sale. When this rod arrived, my daughter wanted to fish with it because it is very pretty with blue. :)

Now that you mention it, I have a Zillion PE Line Special that should look very nice on a T rod.  BTW, my daughter thinks a rod has to be pink.  Her second choice is........pink.  As is her third choice.

Welp, scratch that....I found a Cabelas XML rod for $38. Not exactly what I was looking for but it seems pretty darn good for $38. I don't normally buy store brand rods for some reason....I don't really know why but I just don't. This seemed pretty decent for $38 and it will easily handle the heaviest jigs that I have. They sell them for $149.99. There's no way I would pay that but it seems better than most options $75 or less.
