Super User A-Jay Posted January 17, 2013 Super User Posted January 17, 2013 This may be one of the few (if not the only) square bill bait designed to run at these depths. I was immediately intrigued by the idea and did pick up a few. Unfortunately, open water season is still a ways off for me . . . . . . Have any of you Bomber Bait Fans and / or other crankbait aficionados had a chance to work this bait enough to be able to form an opinion as to when and where this lure would be at it's best ? Super User Deleted account Posted January 17, 2013 Super User Posted January 17, 2013 The guppy version of that catches me a lot of fish. I like bouncing it on hard bottom in like 4-8 ft of water in all but the very coldest times. Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted January 17, 2013 Super User Posted January 17, 2013 I don't know why all deep diving lips aren't designed that way? No real benefit to the round lips, especially out deep. Haven't had a chance to try them yet, but if it just reduces hang ups by a fraction, they are worth it. I love bouncing deep structures with cranks, although I don't do it as often as I use to. This new lure design should be a winner. Quote

gripnrip Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I like to use my Fat Free's around bridge pilings and rip rap. I plan on getting some of the deep square bills to add to my arsenal. Quote
