This may be one of the few (if not the only) square bill bait designed to run at these depths.

I was immediately intrigued by the idea and did pick up a few.

Unfortunately, open water season is still a ways off for me . . . . . .

Have any of you Bomber Bait Fans and / or other crankbait aficionados had a chance to work this bait enough to be able to form an opinion as to when and where this lure would be at it's best ?

The guppy version of that catches me a lot of fish. I like bouncing it on hard bottom in like 4-8 ft of water in all but the very coldest times.

I don't know why all deep diving lips aren't designed that way? No real benefit to the round lips, especially out deep. Haven't had a chance to try them yet, but if it just reduces hang ups by a fraction, they are worth it. I love bouncing deep structures with cranks, although I don't do it as often as I use to. This new lure design should be a winner.

I like to use my Fat Free's around bridge pilings and rip rap. I plan on getting some of the deep square bills to add to my arsenal.
