Yes, the finish is lousy, the hooks are s*y, half of them don 't run true and from that half half will never run true no matter how much you try to tune them but when you get one that runs true they are bass catching machines.

i have got the 20+ and 30+ cranks in "copper shad" and 1 30+ in red "craw" , all run true and ARE fish catching machines  :D

I have a brown crawfish 20+ that I have had for at least 10 years and have caught a lot of fish on it.As previously stated the color is not that great and I changed the hooks out a long time ago, but it does catch me some fish.

I much prefer a Rapala DT-20, which gets almost as deep as the so-called "30+".....which is really a low 20's plug at best, and pulls like an anchor all the way there.   

Heck, I can get a DT-16 deeper than their "20+."   

The Rapalas are a much better design with far less cranking resistance.
