Lol..... I bet you're right.

He has gotta be getting something as much as he talks about them :)

Seems to me they don't really advertise their angles, just visited their website.

Maybe because they feel they have a hold on it and need not to make a big deal?

It also seems that Loomis does the bass end while most of the shimano stuff is saltwater.

But I am just going with what it appears now, on the web and no hard facts, but you did peak my curiousity.

Loomis dumped all their pro staff a couple years ago.  It doesn't surprise me that they'd sign a big name pro.

I am just sitting here right now watching Major League Fishing, and I just started checking out the pro's jerseys, and I don't see any with Shimano on them.

Kota Kiriyama and JVD are the only touring pros I can think of off the top of my head. Dave Mercer, and Mark Zona also have deals with Shimano.

Shin Fukae according to his FLW profile ... Believe he uses Shimano reels.

I was going to say Zona, however not a touring pro. Just an awesome Bears fan. Good enough for me.

JVD with Shimano reels and Loomis rods at least has something over his uncle.

Aaron Martens fishes stellas and metaniums but not sure if there is a sponsorship deal in place?

I saw a video and read an article recently where he said he uses Shimano and Daiwa but has no reel sponsor because of his Megabass rod sponsor. Most reel manufacturers want you to use their rods then to so he doesn't have a deal.

I dont know about that. KVD would be danger even if he fished with a deck full of snoopy rods.

My buddy at work was sponsored by Shimano a couple years along with Contender. He fished the Kingfish circuit though. Not sure if he still sponsored by them, he transferred from my unit.
