ghost Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 I've read the reviews on TW and BPS, just want to hear what you guys think who own one. Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted January 14, 2013 Super User Posted January 14, 2013 Great reel. I have been using it since after black friday and I really like it. Palms well, buttery smooth, handles well when fighting decent fish. I have it spooled up with 10lb yozuri on a carbon-lite rod. Light and versatile. Quote

I just recently bought one too, how do you have the your brakes adjusted. The whole pitch concept is throwing me off Quote
Super User rockchalk06 Posted January 15, 2013 Super User Posted January 15, 2013 I have 2 revo STX gen 2's and the new S. the S gets used more and makes it way to the lake more often. I love mine. It's very smooth, a dream to cast, light weight and it looks sweet too. For the price you can't beat it. Quote
Sodus Bay Scooter Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 It's very quiet on the cast compared to my other reels. It's very smooth when retrieving. It doesn't backlash easily at all. Looks are awesome, my favorite. Size and weight are excellent. Cost for all those combined....priceless. For all other reels, there's MasterCard. Quote
Crookedneck Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 I have seriously been contemplating changing over to the Revo line of reels this year...I am currently running all Quantums with the exception of one... Quote
GeorgiaBassBros Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 I absolutely love mine, no complaints at all. And it looks down right sexy on a Duckett micro magic Quote
TNBassin' Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 The new S is the best $129 I've ever spent on a piece of fishing gear. I have a new STX and I honestly can't seem to find a noticeable/$70 difference performance wise. The STX has dual brakes and foam grips, but I love the S maybe a tad more. Great, great reel. Keep a coat of oil on that brake drum after heavy use. Quote
Super User BassinLou Posted January 15, 2013 Super User Posted January 15, 2013 As far as the settings that you asked about. I have only 2 pins activated. I have not messed with the pitch pins. On top of that i do not pitch or flip with that set up. Quote
