I have been having this problem recently with my molds after they cure they come out fine but they seem almost wet so i would store them in a ziploc container wrapped in a paper towel. I had left a mold in the sealed container for about 2 weeks and I got it out last night and it had molded. I was wondering what you all recommended for storing the molds or keeping them from becoming molded.

when your molds cure within the recommended dry time! use a small paint brush and paint on mod podge which can be found at wal-mart... all it is ,is a puzzle saver ! it looks like elmers glue! don' coat it too heavily! or store them in some type of cedar chest !you also can use a hair dryer to help the curing process it makes sure all moister is gone before storing them!

If there not fully cured I wouldnt put them in a sealed container. You can slow bake them after you pull them .Even after that I let them air cure for a day before I pour in them. I always seal them with wood glue and water.

One of the most important tools to use in building or pouring baits is patience.  I'm slow at learning this but it seems every time I get in a hurry or can't wait for the appropriate amount of time, a problem or fail shows up.

Also ditto what Jig Man says. Tons of info, tips and approaches to POP molds.  Find one that suits what YOU want to do and take your time figuring out what works for you.

Plaster of Paris molds must set for about a day only to cure. Once cured you must paint the bait area with Apoxy, let that cure for one day and your ready to pour your plastic in them. If you do not use Apoxy in the bait formed area when you pour the plastic in the mold they come out with a dull finish, if you Apoxy it they come out glossy just like you buy in the store. I have 17 molds I have made myself by following instructions on youtube. I store them in my garage uncovered and I have no problem with mold or mildew getting on them.
