This morning i headed out to sw ranches to hit a couple spots. First canal produced a few 2lbers on a space monkey. Drove to the next spot, after 5 mins i made a cast parallel to the bank so i can swim the bait alongthe dropoff. I saw this girl swim right up to it, i stopped, she stopped. I twitched it in front of her and i watched as she inhaled the bait and swam off. I made sure i stuck her well enough to stay pegged. I couldnt believe how big this fish was, my best guess is around 6lbs. I have another pic ill try yo load but the file is very big. So needless to say, morning, day, weekend were made! Good luck everyone!

Matt

Nice fish, it is always pretty cool to watch them hit the bait.

Nice!! Way to keep your cool. In situations like those some will set to early. I hope that size is around when I am fishing the glades tomorrow.

thanks for the kind words guys!  Gar, i decided to throw the rod and reel back with the fish. The reel was a 7.1 ratio and i needed a 6.4/1.
