basslover12345 Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 This weekend the temperature is supposed to be up to 68, an almost 20 degree rise in air temperature since the beginning of the week, how will this affect the bass and where will the bass move to? Should I be focusing on deep water or shallow water leading up to this warm up? What lures should I throw and what type of bite should I be looking for? It's a shallow, saucer shaped, dirty water lake with little structure other then shoreline structure Quote
Super User Teal Posted January 10, 2013 Super User Posted January 10, 2013 I would start the same place I would if it was cold. Find the bait first. Go from there. Water temp may not increase nearly as much as air temp. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 10, 2013 Super User Posted January 10, 2013 They won't move far. They'll be right where you left them. Takes more than a few warm days to affect the deep water they're wintering in. 1 Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted January 10, 2013 Super User Posted January 10, 2013 Just like they already said. The body of water isn't going to warm up within just 1-2 days. The bonus is you can fish in a hoody in January. Quote

Super User Bankbeater Posted January 11, 2013 Super User Posted January 11, 2013 It is suppose to be warm here today and tomorrow. Then we might have a chance for snow on Sunday. Have to love the mid west. Quote
