Hanover_Yakker Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I'm planning on heading out tomorrow to try some coldwater in case anyone in Central VA wants to meet up. I'm considering Briery or Powhatan. Let me know! Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted January 10, 2013 Super User Posted January 10, 2013 Can't make it out tomorrow but good luck!!! I'll be out somewhere on Saturday somewhere, just not sure where yet. i know they have been biting the past few weekends and with this recent warming spell you should be in for a good day Also, don't forget about diascund---a little closer and shallower so the warm weather may get them a little more ready to eat Quote
Hanover_Yakker Posted January 10, 2013 Author Posted January 10, 2013 I know I'll probably get a little wet, but I know the weekend is scrapped for me already with the dreaded "honey-do" list building by the minute. Daiscund is one on the list as well, so I am game for anything right now. Quote
BlackMagic82 Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I'll be out at Briery with my wife on Saturday, work all day tomorrow... Let us know how you do! Quote

Well i am hoping you go to diascund and make the long pedal, in your case, up to the north so you can tell me if it is worth my time to paddle up there or if i should go somewhere else on Saturday I am pretty lucky in that my fiancee checked the weather and basically said well at least this Saturday you won't be as cold as the last two you went out fishing Quote
Hanover_Yakker Posted January 10, 2013 Author Posted January 10, 2013 I might just do that now that the forecast has improved. It will also give me chance to fish the bridges along the way and on the way back with my d/s rig. I've got some tasty soft plastics just aching to get bit by some hungry bass during a warming trend ! Quote

I've got some tasty soft plastics just aching to get bit by some hungry bass during a warming trend ! the second bridge on the way out has some nice fish around it....or at least that is what i heard The beauty of it is being in a kayak you can fish it more easily because you are lower to the water where all the boats i have seen go through have to basically lay down to get under it if water levels are up at all. Good luck!! Quote
