Baddy Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 I noticed that after I purchased my quantum smoke rod today, that there is a bend in the blank on the upper end. It bends in the directions opposite to the rod guides. Is the blank supposed to have a slight bend or not? If not what should I do? I bought the last smoke rod the store had. Quote
Super User MarkH024 Posted January 10, 2013 Super User Posted January 10, 2013 No it should be straight. I would return it and have them order you a new one. Quote
Baddy Posted January 10, 2013 Author Posted January 10, 2013 Would quantum take care of this or do you think the company would. Like a said it was the last rod because they were on sale,so I could get my money back but it wouldn't be enough to buy a smoke at its retail price. Quote
Super User MarkH024 Posted January 10, 2013 Super User Posted January 10, 2013 Email Quantum first to see what they say about it. If they're no help, go get your cash back and apply it to something else. Perhaps it was on sale for that exact reason, being it's defective. Sale items sometimes are final, so you'll need to check into that as well. Let's hope that's not the case. Quote
Baddy Posted January 10, 2013 Author Posted January 10, 2013 All the quantum rods and duckett rods were 50% off so I don't think it was because it was defective Quote

Pointless to return it to the store because you might not find that same rod with a warranty at that price. Quote
Super User QUAKEnSHAKE Posted January 12, 2013 Super User Posted January 12, 2013 I have a 7' M/F Smoke think its a great rod. If Quantum will replace it do that if not yeah return it. Even at a good price shouldnt have defect like that to fish with. Quote
