Super User *Hootie Posted January 10, 2013 Super User Posted January 10, 2013 Virgil Ward. I grew up watching him on tv. Can't,....he's been deceased for 9 yrs. Hootie Quote
jhoffman Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Brauer... we all know what the number 1 tactic to put fish in the boat is Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted January 10, 2013 Super User Posted January 10, 2013 Holy Smokes! Not one vote for Al Lindner. Probably the finest "all-around" fisherman there ever was. He has probably contributed more to our sport than any handful of the "pros" today. He sas instrumental in developing "Fishing Facts" magazine (along with Bill Binkleman) and of course, the ever popular "In-Fisherman". I've been reading Al's stuff ever since the 70's. And he still is a fine teacher today. I'd give anything to fish with this guy. Not sure why anyone would want to fish with a person who "specializes" in only one or two species? (Unless that's all you care about.) Al goes after anything and everything that swims. And he's good at it too! JMO! 1 Quote
Super User Teal Posted January 10, 2013 Super User Posted January 10, 2013 I already picked Rick Clunn and Gerald Swimdle, I forgot a good one to mention that I think is under rated and is right here in my home state of NC, I think I would really enjoy a day on the boat with Marty Stone. He has alot of TW videos, but there are alot of videos of him teaching different bass clubs. He seems really down to earth. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 10, 2013 Super User Posted January 10, 2013 Pete Gluzek. He's somewhat local, did a seminar presentation right after him, and he touched on so many key components of mine, I could tell we were on the same wavelength. I think a day or two on the back of his boat would really benefit me. Good luck to him in this year's Classic! Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 10, 2013 Super User Posted January 10, 2013 Pete's at a bit of a disadvantage. He will have to bring his own fish to Oklahoma. I don't think Grand Lake has any smallmouth. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 10, 2013 Super User Posted January 10, 2013 Pete's been on them in Grand Lake during prefishing, if you follow his Facebook posts. The guy's a stud. Quote
quanjig Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Kelly Jordan, deep water off shore stuff is really fun! I need to learn more! Quote
Super User whitwolf Posted January 10, 2013 Super User Posted January 10, 2013 Dustin Wilks... He a North Carolina boy. Quote
thehooligan Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 Aaron Martens or ike would be my choice. Ike only lives 30min away, would love to get on one of the local lakes with him... Quote

Super User Shane J Posted January 10, 2013 Super User Posted January 10, 2013 I wouldn't mind a day on the water with Shaw Grigsby, but I wouldn't trade that for a day on the water with Big O. Quote
james 14 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Gerald Swindle or Ike both down to earth guys who know their stuff. That was downright hilarious! If Swindle's relationship with Lucky Craft ever changes to where he needs a new boat wrap I want to see Cottonelle...or even Huggies. His new nickname for me is "The Maintenance Man". 1 Quote
WarEagleBassin Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 That video just moved Gerald Swindle to the top of my list. Being from Alabama he reminds me of alot of my buddies. That would be one fun day of fishing. That dude is hilarious 1 Quote
Fish Chris Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 I would pick Al Linder in a heart beat. For sure, I'd love to fish with Al Lindner. One of the best multi-species anglers that has ever lived ! And one of the most passionate anglers on the planet. Of course I'd like to tag along with Butch Brown, or Mike Long, also. Fish Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted January 11, 2013 Super User Posted January 11, 2013 For sure, I'd love to fish with Al Lindner. One of the best multi-species anglers that has ever lived ! And one of the most passionate anglers on the planet. Of course I'd like to tag along with Butch Brown, or Mike Long, also. Fish I agree, either of those guys would be fun to fish with for a day. I'll add Matt from Mattlures or you too Chris (I know you like to fish alone, but I'd like to see your Hudd fishing). Quote

He will sneak into your boat before you know it. He snuck into mine. Quote
rangerboy Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 grown up watching hank parker, but i think ike would be a blast, kvd would b great as well. Quote
Mattlures Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Speed come on out to Ca and Ill take you. I would want to go with somebody who could put me on a bunch of big fish like Big O. Or somebody who could teach me something that I would like to learn like fishing crawdads will Bob Crupi. Or something different for me like big stripers with Fish Chris or musky with a musky expert or Big Smallmouth with Roadwarior. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted January 12, 2013 Super User Posted January 12, 2013 Matt, if you're ever up this way, I got an open seat for you on Erie. If it's in the fall, we could also hit up some big brown trout shallow water action. Quote
SudburyBasser Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 For sure, I'd love to fish with Al Lindner. One of the best multi-species anglers that has ever lived ! And one of the most passionate anglers on the planet. I'd be more than happy fishing with any of the Linders. Truth be told, I'd be happy fishing with the worst fisher on the BASS, FLW or LBAA tours because they could still smoke me in a head-to-head and would teach me at least something. Quote
MrSwimJig Posted January 13, 2013 Posted January 13, 2013 Their is a ton of a great fisherman that I would love to spend a day on the water with. Hank Parker, Ike, Brent Chapman, KVD the Linders, Swindel etc... Quote
Bigbarge50 Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 There are a ton, but my #1 would be IKE easy. Guy is passionate about fishing but does not take himself too seriously. He also spends a lot of time teaching and sharing what he has learned. I think on the water he would be a tremendous teacher while also not pushing it down your throat and having some good laughs the whole time. Want to learn and have fun. Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted January 15, 2013 Super User Posted January 15, 2013 Aaron martens or ike. The way they explan things in such a simple manner would be amazing to listen to all day. Quote
skeetercraig Posted January 16, 2013 Posted January 16, 2013 Matt Allen and fish those big swim baits with him Quote
