Missile Baits D Bombs And Other Beaver Style Baits

Has anyone used these yet?  I love them, they slide right out of the way when you go to set the hook but stay intact after many fish. The only time I have to rebait is when I get snagged and have to break off. Does anyone know of a similar bait that feels the same in your hand( the ribs )? I have felt other baits and most do not feel as smooth as this does. I know reaction innovations make a beaver bait that a lot of my friends swear by. Does anyone have a similar bait they enjoy to throw?

I have thrown the Bomb a few times behind a Biffle head.  Caught a few fish and I agree it does seem to be more durable than other similar baits.  It hasn't been my experience that it catches any more fish than other baits, but I haven't thrown it enough at this point to say.  They do have some colors that you can't find on other baits.

I normally throw it texas rigged or punch with it, i havent used it as a jig trailer yet.

I'm also a big fan of the Pit Boss. I am also really interested in the D Bomb, but it is too cold for me to try them. I have used the Reaction Innovations Sweet Beavers and I really like their color selection. Other than that I do not really think of them as anything special. That's just my opinion on them though.

I pick up one pack right after Ish won the BASS tournament on them last year. There's nothing bad I can say about the bait but I don't think it stands above some of the other beaver style baits that are on the market. I don't think it's any worse either, just a subtle variation on the lure. The two beaver baits I use most are the original R.I. sweet beaver and the NetBait B-Bug. I like the R.I. smallie beaver better than the smaller version from NetBait but I prefer the B-Bug in the "regular" size.

The biggest difference I have seen is that they stay weedless and have a better hook up ratio because you only burry the hook in thin ribs and not thick plastic.  Give em a shot once this weather warms up, try candy grass or love bug they have them in almost every dicks. The one out in orland has them, little bit of a drive though.

haha that's funny you would mention that because I was there a few weeks back and I picked up a few packs of them. I'm looking forward to trying them out.

Texas rigged on a 3/0 hook with any weight you want is an awesome setup.

I've used the bps brand beaver baits and out of the package they are stiff and feel as if no fish would ever bite it. However, the first outing where I really gave them a chance I was crushing the bass. Go figure.

Before this past summer I had never had any confidence in beaver style baits. I have always been a fan of John Crews so when he came out with his own line of lures I decided to give them a try. Long story short I now have plenty of confidence in these lures. I cant remember right off what the black and blue colored ones are called , but they work very well in both stained and fairly clear water. Give em' a try and I'm sure you will like them as well. John is a great guy and has created some great soft plastic baits, I really hope he does well both on tour and with his business in the future.

I got to work on his truck this past summer,my jaw dropped when I showed up for work and hisTundra was parked out front.He took a few minutes and talked about his upcoming bait line and I could tell he was excited. D Bomb as well as all the Missle line of lures are top notch quality.

R.I. Sweet and smallie beavers. I have caught more fish on the smallie beaver in black/red flake , fried watermelon, and white on a shakeyhead during the shad spawn Is deadly.

Im not 100% sold on the pit boss but honestly for the price I will pick some up.
