Bobby Uhrig Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Red colored baits -like red rattle traps are very productive in spring -They are great for provoking strikes by tight lipt bass. I designed the New Red Shad Strike Back Spinner bait for just that purpose-PRE SRAWN COLD WATER BASSN Click on picture-- 1 Quote

Super User Wayne P. Posted January 7, 2013 Super User Posted January 7, 2013 I have my moments.. They always rave about red baits in texas during spring. I might have to take a trip -Fork-or Rayburn-- That is why there was a Rat L Trap color called Rayburn Red. Jimmy Houston used to mention that quite often on his shows. It became famous for Winter catches at Sam Rayburn. http://www.mikesfishingadventures.net/sam_rayburn.htm Quote

Bobby Uhrig Posted January 8, 2013 Author Posted January 8, 2013 Red is a shallow water color- The bass move up to the warmest water -which is usually shallow flats in spring. It is also very effective being pulled or ripped through the weeds in spring. I designed the head to be two toned as well -Great looking bait but producing bass is what counts.. Hmmm by the picture below I think im still a little early - Froze the red right out of it. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted January 8, 2013 Super User Posted January 8, 2013 Man Bobby, I gotta try these spinnerbaits. I'm probably late to the party on the special you had, but I'm gonna get a couple. I love the idea behind this and I'm convinced I need to give these a whirl. Keep up the hard work! Quote
