Be nice if maye this could become a sticky. Basically... a place for us all to list any OPEN events in the northeast for 2013. This information can be hard to find only coming by word of mouth or local news.

 

Give as much information as possible

Currently the only ones I know of set in my area of central pa are the jims anchorage tournaments out of raystown. - South Central PA(Biggest Inland PA Lake) - Huntingdon PA

Tournament Launch Ramp

All entrants must launch from the Shikellamy State Park ramp.

 

Lodging For the 2012 Bass Classic:

The Hampton Inn at Selinsgrove / Shamokin Dam will be offering rooms for $89 a night.  The Hampton Inn is located at 3 Stetler Avenue Shamokin Dam, PA (five minutes from the boat ramp), and offers a hot complimentary breakfast starting at 4:00 A.M.  The Hampton Inn also has outside/easy access electrical outlets for boats. To make reservations call 570-743-2223 and ask for for the front desk.  State you are booking under the 2012 Bass Classic block to receive the discount.

Im looking more for the club opens than anything. Im coming up with more and more but if no one is going to contribute to the thread I am not doing all the legwork. Ill just fish the events I want and let everyone else do their own thing. Thought maybe this would be beneficial to clubs and or events who want to up their boat fields for maximum payouts.

Location : Northeast River, Upper Chesapeake Bay - Anchor Marine

Entry fee: $90.00 per boat

Prize money: 80% payback

Registration: 5:30-6:30 am at the ramp (Anchor Marina)

Launch: Safe Light

Weigh-in: 2:30 pm

Lunker pool: $10.00 per boat; 100% payback.

Field Format: One or two anglers per boat, 5 fish per team. 49 boat limit.

 

These are the dates for the Opens, all on Saturdays, All out of Anchor Marine, Northeast River, Town of North East, Maryland.

 

Club OPEN - Northeast River - April 20

Club OPEN - Northeast River - May 25th

Club OPEN - Northeast River - August -10

Club OPEN - Northeast - September 7

Club OPEN - Northeast River - November 9th

 

RULES

 

1 - 5 fish limit per boat. Largemouth or Smallmouth. 15” or greater in length for the April and May tournaments and 12" or greater for the August, September and November tournaments. (Short fish brought to the scales will result in loss of biggest fish)

 

2 - 8-ounce penalty per dead fish

3 - Artificial lures only. No live bait

4 - All 2013 Maryland fishing and boating laws will apply

5 - All boats must be equipped with an operational aerated live well (10 gal min.)

6 - All boats must have all safety equipment available

7 - All boats must be inspected before launching

8 - No alcohol or illegal drugs permitted

9 - A 1 lb. Per. minute penalty will be assessed for late return, up to 15 minutes. After 15 you are disqualified.

10 - Unsportsmanlike like conduct may result in a disqualification

11 - Please keep a courtesy distance from other boats

12 - Trolling as a means of fishing is prohibited

13 - In the event of a tie, the most-alive fish wins. If still a tie, the largest fish wins

14 - The decision of the Tournament Director is final

15 - There will be no fishing after your boat number is turned in at weigh-in

16 - It is up to you to have liability insurance coverage on your boat

17 - Solo entries are allowed

18 - Ramp fee is responsibility of the boater.

are all of these being put on by a certain club?

 

I know a bunch of the opens down there this past year were the Kilby Opens. Still havent found out who runs them

Chester County Bass Masters puts on these Open tournaments out of Anchor Marine.

Our Club holds our lunker tournaments every wednesday in July on Sayers Dam in Howard Pa(Fished by FLW College in 2011)

 

630-930pm - boat check starts at 6... $5, we typically payout top 4 with first place getting cash and 2-4 getting prizes
