Has anyone ever tried to tie a skirt onto a shakey head with a coil type bait keeper? I’m thinking about buying this Do It mold but I’m on the “fence” as to whether my idea is going to work.

Why not?

Add the skirt to give the bait a different look.

Just because if is a shaky head presentation does not mean you are limited in your bait selections and bait changes.

If you can, try to find a jig head with a coil and give it a shot to see what happens and if there is a problem with the skirt staying on the jig head.

Changing baits and presentations is one of the fun things you can enjoy when bass fishing as there are no hard set rules to follow. Anything goes!

Looks like Skeeterman225 sells this same head! I'll place an order with him for a couple heads before I decide to spend $50 on the mold to pour my own.

I'm actually looking at offering something similar to this for 2013. But an easy fix and the route I would go is the other way. Put a hitch hiker on a jig and cut off the weed gaurd or leave off.

Check out the mac's tackle RJ jig. It has a normal jig skirt, but it has a screwlock instead of a weedguard. You texas rig the soft plastic. Way better hookups.

I've seen a shakyhead with a small, thin skirt available somewhere, just can't remember where. If I remember right it was similar to a spot remover head.

Tie me a couple on a 3/8 oz ShakE2 Pro Series. Any color is fine as long as it's black!
