Super User .ghoti. Posted December 26, 2012 Super User Posted December 26, 2012 RW, Long Mike and I just did a trout trip to Taneycomo. We had two decent mornings before the water was shut off. That will kill the bite on a river system. Not as many fish as we wanted, but we didn't get skunked. What we did get was good company, great food and good drinks. Gents, we need to do this more often. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 26, 2012 Super User Posted December 26, 2012 Spending time with good friends, great food and libations trumps fishing anytime. Catching a few is just icing on the cake! Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Very cool, sounds like a lot of fun Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted December 26, 2012 Super User Posted December 26, 2012 Sounds like you guys did good. Quote
DBSULLY Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 Sounds like a good time was had by all. Spending quality time on the water with good people is always a plus. Quote
Super User Long Mike Posted December 27, 2012 Super User Posted December 27, 2012 Camaraderie outweighs the number of fish caught any time. That's why I always attend the annual Road Trip. To Kent and Gary, thank you both for being so kind as to tie on new tackle for me when my shaky hands couldn't manage. That meant more to me than you will ever know. Also, be advised that I received $100 in BPS gift cards for Christmas. I spent it all on trout gear. Hopefully, I will no longer have to bum off either of you. Quote
Super User Tuckahoe Joe Posted December 27, 2012 Super User Posted December 27, 2012 Glad you guys had a good trip. Next time lets see some pics! Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 27, 2012 Super User Posted December 27, 2012 Long Mike took a few, maybe he will post them. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted December 28, 2012 Global Moderator Posted December 28, 2012 Taneycomo is a fun trip. With being only a few hours away I've been there several times and it's always a good time. Great place to take some youngsters or a family vacation with all the fish to be caught and all the other attractions close by. Hope to see some pictures from your trip. Quote
