Okay, I'm a little weird to surf the forum today but after deep reflection on the significance of such a wonderful holiday steeped with tradition and family I realized something was truly missing and I wanted to give all my friends on this awesome forum a chance to share. We haven't had a post to talk crap about fruitcake. How can we not take the time to show distain for the most disgusting food item of the holidays. I'll start....I got a fruitcake that was so bad ,I use it as a wheel stop to keep the boat trailer from moving in the driveway. There, I feel better now.

Merry Christmas!

Fruitcake wheel chock, that's funny!

I am in, I just ate a gingerbread cookie that had quikrete instead of flour as its main ingredient.

Did someone say fruitcake? I posted my fruitcake thread last year and got laughed off the forum, hahaha.

Im not sure if it's a real fruitcake or not, but Publix, as well as many other stores, sells a certain brand this time every year. The loaf comes in a red, square box and is pretty good. It doesn't have the traditional red, green and yellow fruit in it, but rather raisins, nuts and some other unidentifiable fruit.

I'll man up and tell ya I like it, haha.

I thought you only gave fruitcake to relatives and other people you don't like.

I can't stand fruitcake but my grandma LOVES it. Each Christmas she gets so many fruitcakes that she can basically eat on them all year long until next Christmas. Its actually a bit ridiculous and probably not too healthy.

When I was little my mom use to make fruitcakes every once in a while. Never cared for them, but I did like her home made beer bread.

Well, now I know why I get so many each year, and here all this time I have been using them for lift blocks to store my relic's in the back yard.
