IntroC Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 Lindners Angling Edge is head and shoulders above the rest IMO. In-Fisherman ranks up there. Bass Pros is a good one. Zona has an awsome fishing show. I used to really like Classic Patterns but it must not air where I'm at any longer. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted December 25, 2012 Super User Posted December 25, 2012 I used to watch "Spanish Fly". Jose is now sadly missed. IMO unmatched by anyone, I still watch his videos. I don't watch too many shows, but enjoy Bill Dance's lay back sitting down approach, editing aside of course. I've seen him on his saltwater series and as guest with others, this man knows what he is doing. Every now and then I'll catch " Seasons on the Fly", I love their enthusiasm and those trout are beautiful. Quote
Jake P Posted December 25, 2012 Posted December 25, 2012 First off, ZAFS is the bomb!!! I watch Jimmy Houston, some Bill dance, flw, bassmasters, the bass pros, hook n look, really all I can. I just dvr them all then pick through the ones I think will be enjoyable or informational. Quote
JeziHogg Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 Facts of Fishing, Getting School'd with JP DeRose and Extreme Angler. I watch WFN religiously, I find these 3 shows are the most informative. Quote
Addicted to Smallies Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 River Monsters -- This is the kind of show that reminds me why I love fishing: the adventure, the drama, and the science behind the fish. Jeremy Wade makes fishing seem like one of those old-time safari adventures from the early 1900's where you might end up drinking kava tea with a Tongan tribe or getting chased away from a river by a group of armed militia... it's a fantastic show (even if the drama is a bit hyped-up at times.) Even my wife enjoys watching this one with me. Lunkerville -- Gotta hand it to Mike D for coming up with a totally new and fresh concept in a sometimes tired category. Even after several years, the concept is still fresh and enjoyable and paints the everyday fishermen (and women) in a very favorable light. No matter if it's a bank fisherman, a paddle tin boat or a fancy bass boat, the people on this show obviously love fishing, and Mike makes them all seem like genuine, likable people. (BTW, Mike, if you're ever looking for another partner, come on down to Virginia -- or I'm happy to meet up with you when I'm in NYC for work every week! I've got a 10 year old that can outfish you and me both, and can probably teach folks a few things!) Facts of Fishing -- Would LOVE to be able to fish with Dave Mercer for a day! Even a catchless day would be a blast with that guy, I bet. Quote
Addicted to Smallies Posted December 26, 2012 Posted December 26, 2012 I used to watch "Spanish Fly". Jose is now sadly missed. I watch "Reel in the Outdoors" with Joe Thomas. He's a really personable guy with an honest sense of humor. His cameraman, Jim, is a real hoot as well. May Jose RIP... Spanish Fly was always a great show, and I was truly sad to hear about his passing. Quote
