bassh8er Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 Does anyone know if you're supposed to register your rods, and if so, how? I registered my new St. Croix online, and wanted to know if I could do that worth my Abu. Quote
Arv Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 I never did and got one my Veritas' replaced no questions. Just standard return forms. Quote
bassh8er Posted December 20, 2012 Author Posted December 20, 2012 Thanks, I was just wondering what proof they would need for date of purchase. Quote

tbone1993 Posted December 20, 2012 Posted December 20, 2012 They need a receipt attached to the warranty claim provided with the rod . I believe if you do not have a receipt you can explain that it was a work gift/ purchased from work and they will except that. We will see if my theory pans out, I was told that over the phone and my reel should be on the way there within a day or so. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted December 21, 2012 Super User Posted December 21, 2012 If there ever was a company that had a liberal repair/replacement policy, it's Pure Fishing. A simple explanation on the repair form is all you need to do, warranty or otherwise a receipt is not needed. I have never been disappointed with their customer service. Quote
Earthlin80 Posted December 22, 2012 Posted December 22, 2012 One of my guides broke on my veritas last Monday. Called them at 4 that afternoon and by 12pm the next day had a new rod on its way to my door. No papers to fill out or anything. Had to email them a pic of the guide a pic of my receipt and a pick of my rod cut in half. Paid 9.95 with my credit card over the phone and I was done. Took 3 days to receive it, and they even gave me a free fenwick eagle gt ultralight rod packed with the veritas. I was looking to buy a ultra light and now I don't have to. I usually just lurk on this site but just want to say how great of an experience I had with customer service. Quote
