Strike King Finesse worms

Last year I got heavy into shaky head lures. I tried the Berkley powerbait and Gander Mountain brands. They seemed a little lathargic to stand up. This year after reading several blogs on this website I went with the Strike King Finesse worms. WOW! These things stand straight up and fast! I also got some Roboworms . Heard those were good to but havn't tested em' yet. I can't wait to give the bad boys a go. The only thing I dont like about them is it is impossible to get them on the corkscrew jig. So I will just use a regular jig.

Use crazy glue to keep them on your shaky head OR use a pin to put a hole in the tip and then pass it on the jig. I use crazy glue. those worms last for ever!!! Coppertreuse is the best color

Well with that said, looks like I have a reason to go back. I found a worm that beads in the tail. Think it's Gambler Rattlesnake? Ever heard of it? Any good?

Roboworms are the way to go! They are the best finesse worms and the only finess worms you will ever need. Plus they have colors that no one else can match

Well said. All I use. Slide the worm over the barb on a SK shakey head and texas rig it and you're good for 50 fish.

Roboworms do come in some pretty cool colors though.

I've had really good luck with SK Finesse worms on the old style of spot remover, too.  Drop of glue and they stay pegged for what seems like an eternity.

I just bought some of these and will have to try these out today on a shaky head.  Will these work t-rigged with a 3/0 or 4/0 hook?

I use a pin too, but I heat in in the flame of a candle.  It melts into the plastic leaving a small hole that will allow you to thread it onto one of those coil spring worm holders.

Just get the end of the spring started in the hole and with a bit of effort it will work.

Forget about getting it on the Owner twistlocks, which I prefer.  When you put the centering pin into the hole, you cannot get the end of the spring into the worm.

I've been shilling the four inch coppertreuse SK worm since the first time I used them.  I struggled trying to get them onto a holder as well, and after much meditation came up with the hot safety pin method.
