Im getting a new reel and rod combo, I'm pretty sure im going to get a Bass pro carbonlite rod but I cant decide which reel i should get. I have a Silver Max and like Abu Garcia products but I have heard great things about Lew's and want to give them a shot. Thanks in Advance for your responses.

I have the gen 2 Revo S and the Lews Tournament SS. You can't go wrong with either but I would lean more towards the Tournament. Its smaller than my S (not sure how big the gen 3 is), but the Tournament palms nicely. I like that it has a dual braking system as well. Don't know if you're a lefty, but there's a 51e in the fleamarket right now for 140 that I would ****** up if I was you. I have one and its my favorite reel. It would be nice of you to buy so it will stop teasing me since I don't have the money for it right now too.

If you like Abu, you will like Lews, pretty much the same thing.

Definitely going with the lew's, what gear ratio would you guys recommend, I mostly throw soft plastics and square bills. Would 6:4:1 be a good choice?

Should be fine with that gear ratio and you will enjoy that reel.
