pjmags Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 What is everyone's favorite winter dropshot bait? For clear water? Murkier water? Quote
jhoffman Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 The bait is made by death row baits, its called snoop dog Quote
Super User J Francho Posted December 18, 2012 Super User Posted December 18, 2012 For this, you want a buoyant, do nothing bait that impart subtle action without any shaking or jiggling. Roboworms, Crosstail Shad, Zoom finnesse worms, Power Shaky Worms are all good choices. Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted December 18, 2012 Super User Posted December 18, 2012 Gulp. I don't like it for much else, but it does seem to get bites in cold water when nothing else will. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted December 18, 2012 Super User Posted December 18, 2012 Forgot about Gulp. That's another good one. Quote
BradGuenette Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 X-zone Slammer. A very popular bait here up here in Canada fishing the st.lawrance river. Pretty much my go to cold water smallmouth bait, rigged on a drop shot this thing is deadly! Favorite color has got to be Green Pumpkin Copper Purple! Quote

Super User kickerfish1 Posted December 18, 2012 Super User Posted December 18, 2012 I almost exclusively use roboworm or jackall products for dropshotting. Quote
MrPeanut Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 I usually go with any straight tail finesse worm I wonder about murkier water too though - I tend to shy away from drop shotting in more stained water does anybody have success with it? Quote

Thats where the gulp shines. And I won't usually drop it till I see a fish on the graph so I can put it right in there face. Quote
MrPeanut Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 I might have to try Gulp more next year, most of the water I fish is stained Quote
Super User J Francho Posted December 18, 2012 Super User Posted December 18, 2012 Dip an Aaron's Magic color Roboworm in chartreuse JJ's for stained water. Quote
