1/8 to 1/4 oz in-line spinners on a light or ultra-light spinning rod.

Heck, every lure I use catches small bass  ;D

Don't bet the ranch that there's no BIG bass in your small lake.

rebel crickhopper or the rebel crawdad. theyll chase them or come up and get them off the top.

a story about the crickhopper. i had thrown several other things that day in a pond and not even a bite. i was getting a bit bored i guess and tied on the crickhopper figuring i would atleast get some bluegill. well i got a bluegill, a small one, when i wasnt even paying attention looking off at the highway. so there is this small bluegill jerking on my line in the water(about 6-7 feet of line out) right at the bank, i look down and from under a patch of algae comes this probably 4lb bass. he absolutely crushes this bluegill, im watching in awe as i had never seen this happen before. the bass with bluegill in mouth jumps out of the water into a tailwalk, splashes back in the water and tries to run out into the pond, feels the tension on my line and circles back towards the bank and dives out of the water right at me, still in awe and not knowing what exactly to do as im watching this bit of nature, fish still in the air i yanked on my rod, saw the bluegill go down the basses throat and the back treble on the crickhopper sets into the top of the basses mouth. the bass fell back in the water and i brung it in quickly. it was wild to watch and it was almost as if it happened in slow motion

throw what you usually use , small fish don't know they are small , they will hit regular size baits  ;)

Have to agree with that!  I have caught a bass that was a little longer than a 5" senko.

I fish a small pond like you mention with small fish, I do very well on a Stike King Mini Pro Buzzbait. I caught 23 fish in that same pond on a wacky rig stick bait, make sure you use some O-rings or youll run out quick.

But I also support that small fish will bite big lures, in this pic is a bass that ate my 7 1/2 inch Anaconda and you can tell that he is about the same length  ;)

bigfruits nailed it.

use an ultralight and toss inline spinners and other tiny crankbaits! by far my favorite inline spinner is the blue fox vibrax minnow spin. i have had soooo much success with this little bait, in all sizes! smallest size for huge bluegill, biggest size for little-medium bass.

minnow, silver, and gold are my favorite colors.
