Super User roadwarrior Posted December 17, 2012 Super User Posted December 17, 2012 Nine in a row. Payton is hot going into Prime Time! Looks like a great shot at the Superbowl, but whether that happens or not, John Elway is the big winner this year. GM of the year with no close second. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted December 17, 2012 Super User Posted December 17, 2012 They are looking good for sure. I think this is going to be one exciting playoff season! Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted December 18, 2012 Super User Posted December 18, 2012 Couldn't agree more. Go Niners! Quote
bassh8er Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 It sorrows me to say that I actually agree with RW. Huge Broncos fan and I cannot wait until the playoffs Quote
bass_freak fishing Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Broncos are looking good for sure- just can't screw up next 2 weeks- and THANK YOU !!! 49ers last night- a #2 seed gives denver an extra week to prepare for anyone at home SWEET Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 18, 2012 Author Super User Posted December 18, 2012 Denver fans still need to keep their fingers crossed. The Broncos have painted themselves into the same corner the Colts always found themselves in. Although Manning has been to The Big Show and won, his overall performance in the playoffs has been spotty. Broncos success is on his shoulders. Our D must step it up and the offensive line has to play at the top of their game. But most importantlt, I think, Manning must make good decisions. He has a tendency to force the pass into small spaces. That's exciting when it works, but when it doesn't it's heartbreaking. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted December 18, 2012 Super User Posted December 18, 2012 Couldn't agree more. Go Niners! I hope the Niners do make it to the SB. You guys must have been heart brokened last year? That was almost as bad as the ball going thru Buckner's legs in '86! Quote
Super User Marty Posted December 19, 2012 Super User Posted December 19, 2012 Not a Broncos fan, but must agree with RW. I don't want to take anything away from Manning, he's great, but he's getting help from the #4 defense and one of the best offensive lines in the league. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 30, 2012 Author Super User Posted December 30, 2012 11 in a row! Quote
shootermcbob Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 How ironic is that Manning is having a HUGE season...after being discarded by the colts...who had a terrible set of circumstances affect their season...and the colts are 11-5???? I thought if Manning was healthy, Denver could be pretty good this season. I had no idea, none, that the Colts would be 11-5. Haven't seen the AFC bracket....When would the Broncos and Colts meet? Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted December 31, 2012 Super User Posted December 31, 2012 Not sure if the denver GM should be GM of the year becasue they basically paid him a TON of money. I am impressed though and it is good to see him succeed as he seems like a genuinely good guy, well his whole family for that matter. As far as who i would pick as GM of the year i would go with whoever is hte GM of the skins. They gave up a ton to get RG3 and it paid off as they are playing for the NFC East divison championship tonight after only winning what, 4 games last yea and 4 the year beforer? The denver defense is pretty good and they were a playoff team last year so the addition of even a 75% peyton manning probably nets tham a win or two. I will now sit back and ponder why i continue to watch the eagles every week/season/year............. Quote
Super User MCS Posted December 31, 2012 Super User Posted December 31, 2012 "Haven't seen the AFC bracket....When would the Broncos and Colts meet?" They won't Ravens are gonna bounce them out this week!!!! Colts playing in their real hometown, Baltimore, I would hate to be an indy fan there this week. We love to remind the Irsay that he is a no good bum. Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted December 31, 2012 Super User Posted December 31, 2012 I hate the Broncos, and credit it to being a fluke. Go Ravens!!! May they destroy Denver and go to the Superbowl! 1 Quote
